So what does the next half of of your life look like?
I’ve been thinking about this a LOT lately. If you’ve been mostly-a-mama for the last couple of decades, you may be lifting your head up and looking around for the first time in a long time. It can feel a bit frightening and disorienting...everything changes when our kids fly the coop! (Honestly, this really took me by surprise!) Even if you’ve been working all along, the fact that you’re in your “second half” comes into focus all of a sudden - and it starts to feel a little uncomfortable.
We all want to feel relevant and in control and seen - no matter what our weight, or hair color (graying anyone?), or the number of lines on our faces. We’ve earned these battle stripes!
If you’re interested in making your midlife years your new prime time, take a listen to episode #18 of the Style With Intention podcast. (The link is in my profile! Just click and you’re there!) You’ll hear about my philosophy and tips for creating a midlife you’ll love. It isn’t what you might expect!

Are you thinking of clearing out your End-of-the-Year mental clutter?? Now's the time to say BUHH BYE to outdated modes of thinking as we prepare to leave this year forever!! ⠀
Are you ready to thrive? I remember survival mode way too well. It's my wish that you go beyond what your mind thinks is possible. Thrive in life because it's your right. By clearing out old thought patterns and archaic beliefs we are more capable to usher in new energy that leaves us feeling revitalized, focused and ready to reset our lives with new beginnings.⠀
I challenge you today to acknowledge and release one thought pattern or belief that doesn't excite or serve you! Release by noticing the belief, acknowledging it no longer serves you and saying goodbye! Visualize cutting this belief out of your life. ⠀
Replace with a belief that excites you even though you don't know how it will manifest! What's important is to entertain your new belief as being possible! This will create an outcome that’s more inspiring than the past. It will also serve as the foundation to navigate your experiences as you move forward in fresh directions. ⠀
Begin now because to be alive is to thrive! What's making you feel inspired and hopeful for your new year?? I'd love to know!! 🙌💗🙌
Sick of your J.O.B ? (Just Over Broke!) Or did you sign up for the 40-40-40?
1) Work 40 hours a week
2) Do that for 40 years
3) Retire on 40% of what you struggled to live on all your life?
Why have all this life, when it is stolen away by us sitting behind a desk or working for the 'man', when we could be working for ourselves and answering to only one person - you!
Take time to be with your kids.
Spend your days the way you want to spend them.
Live for now!
Don't spend your life worrying about the future.
Love what you do!
Ask me how!

God I miss these days. A day like so many others. We wandered, laughed, laughed a lot & talked about everything and nothing.
Jane & I took too many photos, whilst our tribe giggled at our insistence of always taking the ‘essence’ shot. We hugged, we hug, pretty much a lot of the time.
It was a day like so many others, and I’m so glad we had all those days.
Immeasurable memories we will be eternally grateful for. But god I miss these days. ❤️
A girl in one of my classes looked at me and said, “How do you always make everyone feel better when their down without you realizing it? How are you so motivated and learn to be so confident even when other people are always criticizing? I could never do it.” Well we can’t change what other people say or how they make us feel but we can train ourselves to try to love ourselves. I do let people get to me and let them make me feel bad about how I look. I love that people look up to me and they’re right it’s hard to be happy with yourself when we’re too busy worrying about the flaws others make us see. So I want to say fuck it. Fuck it to not wanting to wear clothes that I love the way I look but know others will stare. Fuck it to the kids that called us fat in high school. I want to say fuck it to the mean girls/guys that made fun of our size in sports making us want to go home and cry. I want to say fuck it to the people that stare at us in the gym and find the things wrong with us instead of seeing how hard We're working. Fuck it to the women that compare themselves to us to make them feel better instead of working towards a better self-image together. I want to say fuck it to the guys/women that think we’re just an item to look at, because we are far more valuable. Fuck it to the guys/women that don’t see our worth. Fuck It to caring what others think because being healthy and happy with ourselves is what matters not the numbers on the scale, or over used statistics or dumb body percentages! So fuck it to all the negativity that tries to enter your life because we are all beautiful in our own ways! #minidanalynbailey#fuckit#beconfident#weonlyliveonce#livehappy#workout#motivated#beyourself#dontgiveafuckwhatyouthink#strength#happiness#gymtimebaby#knowledge#legdayquotes#lifemood#livefornow#togetherweshouldstand#learntosayfuckit
HELLO REST DAY 🙌🏼
Although today is rest day, that does NOT mean lazy day. I use to think rest day was lady day, sit on the couch and binge on a bag of chips and boy was I wrong. •
Today’s active rest day consist of stretching, little bit of yoga and long walks with my pup 🐶
What are your favorite rest day activities?
Luna’s just sittin’ in the pitch, waiting for her girl to come home! +

Richard Branson’s thoughts on happiness .
You don’t know me but I hear you are going through a tough time, and I would like to help you. I want to be open and honest with you, and let you know that happiness isn’t something just afforded to a special few. It can be yours, if you take the time to let it grow.
It’s OK to be stressed, scared and sad, I certainly have been throughout my 66 years. I’ve confronted my biggest fears time and time again. I’ve cheated death on many adventures, seen loved ones pass away, failed in business, minced my words in front of tough audiences, and had my heart broken.
I know I’m fortunate to live an extraordinary life, and that most people would assume my business success, and the wealth that comes with it, have brought me happiness. But they haven’t; in fact it’s the reverse. I am successful, wealthy and connected because I am happy.
So many people get caught up in doing what they think will make them happy but, in my opinion, this is where they fail. Happiness is not about doing, it’s about being. In order to be happy, you need to think consciously about it. Don’t forget the to-do list, but remember to write a to-be list too.
Kids are often asked: ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’ The world expects grandiose aspirations: ‘I want to be a writer, a doctor, the prime minister.’ They’re told: go to school, go to college, get a job, get married, and then you’ll be happy. But that’s all about doing, not being – and while doing will bring you moments of joy, it won’t necessarily reward you with lasting happiness.
Stop and breathe. Be healthy. Be around your friends and family. Be there for someone, and let someone be there for you. Be bold. Just be for a minute.
