No matter the size, an alligator that’s not afraid of people and called for removal has to be removed. As long as it is “a threat to livestock, people, or pets” it’s considered a nuisance alligator. Unfortunately trappers don’t get paid by the state and will instead sell the animals for meat and skin to turn a profit for their efforts. @evergladesoutpost works with one of the very few trappers who do not put the animals down ( @gatorboysalligatorrescue )and will relocate if possible, if not they bring them the our sanctuary to live their lives out with other gators in a natural habitat. They also get to inspire and educate the public about why their species is so important to the ecosystem, and just how cool they are! .
Through lectures and shows people leave the outpost with a new appreciation and respect for these animals, which results in less of these human-wildlife contact instances that end up taking an animal way from its home. .
Now the outpost is facing some financial struggles, to the point we may have to close our doors, which means nowhere for these gators to go. One way you can help us by either donating through our website, gofundme or Facebook, or you can purchase a shirt that I made myself, support our sanctuary and rock some ferox stilo! Link in my story as well as my bio! .
And again thank you all, followers, friends, family, and peers for your continued support! I love getting to share the stories of my day to day life with these incredible creatures, if you’d like to keep seeing that please consider donating ✨💕 .
The Everglades Outpost @evergladesoutpost located in Homestead Florida is a volunteer run not for profit rescue and sanctuary for native and exotic wild animals. The Outpost is currently in desperate need of donations to continue to be a safe haven for injured wildlife, exotic animals and nuisance alligators, many of which would otherwise be euthanized without the sanctuary. It is so important to donate to organizations like Everglades Outpost because they are often the last hope for wild animals in need . The state and federal governments do not rescue wildlife and they do not fund rescues like the Outpost. Please take a moment to donate by clicking on the GoFundMe link in my IG profile set up by @gabbynikolle . I have visited the Outpost many times over the years and the first caiman I ever worked with came from Bob Freer so I can speak from personal experience that this sanctuary deserves your donation . If you cannot afford a donation, at the very least you can share this message. Thank you! -Damen
I had an amazing photo shoot with the beautiful @chellylene and these wonderful creatures from @alternativecritterscreatures
Very friendly, comfortable and informative team that has worked hard to become an official Reptile Business and I'm proud to have been apart of this, and I'm excited for the next and many to come 😍💜 @c.adamsimages -
Zella Welly is one of the singers of the Bebo Webos and plays the trombone! Although a Louisiana alligator, she can speak Chinese and has chopsticks in her hair! Alligators in China are from the Yangtze River and are becoming extinct but in Louisiana, the gator population is growing year by year. Wow, they can grow to more than 15’ long....yikes!!! Zelly Welly is only 5 inches tall...but she’s still scary when she wants something!!!! #thebebowebos#alligators#childrenspoetry#childrensart

Day 2: part 1
Alligator 🐊 adventures!
This girl right here @mrsdouma has my whole 💜! She knows how to make me laugh, still wants to be my friend when I’m in a bad mood, teaches me to live on the edge, helps me see the good in myself, but most of all has introduced me to a community of precious human beings that I never knew existed!
God knew that I truly needed her in my life!
Before our Thursday meetings we woke up early and took an Uber to kayak with the alligators.. it was a self guided tour, and my first time kayaking...The scenery was absolutely breathtaking and so peaceful
The 🐊 we spotted was massive, but he was quietly sleeping so we just kept on rowing...🛶 Seriously sooo fun and beyond happy we experienced this adventure
September 4th 2006, I woke up to the heartbreaking news that you were gone.. I cried a lot that day.. I felt a complete sadness... The animals lost their best friend that day... and I lost my Hero... You were so passionate about wildlife conservation and loved so deeply, but one thing I'll always remember you by is how truly an amazing kind hearted human being you were. One of the nicest people on planet earth. Kindness is truly everything ❤
I know your at Home with God now, that brings me peace and seeing your wonderful loving family always brightens my day. I love them dearly. They're just like you. I know you're immensely proud.
We miss you Steve ❤ And if one day my husband and I are blessed with children, just know they'll know everything about you, what you stood for, and how they can make a difference in wildlife conservation ❤
CROCtober 23: Everyone knows crocs have a killer smile. In fact, the smile of an American crocodile (pictured here) contains 66-68 teeth. These teeth are hollow, and while you see them exposed in the jaw, there is already a new set growing into the hollow of the old. This means that crocodilians replace their teeth for the entirety of their life. The times where you see crocs without teeth are often related to old age or toxicity in their environment. #croc#smile#teeth#education#croctober#wild#photography#nature#wildlife#reptiles#alligators#crocodiles#belize
American Alligator bellowing.
This guy is letting me know that he is in charge of this pond. He emmits a growl of such low frequency that it makes the water dance off his back.
Awesome stuff to witness.
@Regran_ed from @donnamaria1961 - Thank you @a_lallie_
I always admire how well you express yourself to send a message.

Dwayne @TheRock Johnson - you come across as a humble and down to earth guy but this is not cool. Why have you posted about this again after all the backlash you received last time? 🐊👎🏻
This image represents all that is wrong with #Mankind i.e. that need to control, oppress and dominate other species. Real #Strength lies in #Humility , not #Bravado .
Do you know that #Alligators are considered ‘living fossils’ as they have roamed this #Earth for 230 million years while retaining most of their original characteristics? They are the ultimate survivors! They saw the #Dinosaurs come and go! They outlived them! We owe them nothing but respect but instead people like you mock, degrade and demean them while others massacre them for #AlligatorSkin bags and shoes 💔😞 .
This #Gator at an #Alligator farm in #Florida was forcefully dragged out of the water by several men all so that Dwayne could have an #Instagram photo. He only did this to show how tough, powerful and brave he is but strong men don't exploit animals.
@TheRock - I still think you're a nice guy in many aspects of your life but I feel you made a bad judgment call here just as you did when you high-fived that captive #BelugaWhale , which promoted their enslavement for human entertainment.
Rather than asserting dominance over #Animals for egotistical false notions of 'masculinity', please understand that #Compassion , #Respect and #Kindness are the true virtues of 'a real man' ✌🏻
