Do you know what are gun sanctuaries?
Gun sanctuaries are built on a similar premise to sanctuary cities, where local legislatures pass resolutions refusing to enforce immigration laws that they consider unconstitutional or that violate the rights of immigrants. Gun sanctuary resolutions apply this same logic to Second Amendment rights and say they will not uphold state laws that infringe on the right to bear arms. The exact language of these resolutions vary by the county.
As of now, 30 of the 102 counties in the state of Illinois have adopted gun sanctuary resolutions, with more counties considering it every day. The goal is to halt legislative overreach by the state and send a message to the capital, Springfield, and other large cities like Chicago that they cannot take away people’s Second Amendment rights. They feel knee-jerk, unconstitutional restrictions on gun rights target law-abiding gun owners while doing little to address the problem of violence and its underlying causes.

Squatted 210 kg x 4 yesterday. Was far from good depth tho - did it in Oly shoes, but I want to do it in flat heels next time, as it feels like a better option when doing low bar for me. But it did leave me crazy sore lol, especially in my glutes. Did singles up to 200 kg as well, in Olympic shoes, and I was more happy with those reps tbh. They were pretty good and solid, as they should be at this point. Yesterday was a very rushed workout tho, as I was just running late for the gym and had 40-45 min to train. And I was pretty fried today, esepecially in my deltoids - both from benching two days ago (and shoulder pressing the day before that) + low bar squatting yesterday. That exercise tends to be a bit brutal on the delts, especially if you go to 200+ kg etc. So I didn't do too much volume today. Did more volume in lighter exercises after this, to get a good pump and feel the muscles contract. But for the benching part, I need to feel fresher. It felt heavy today.
One of the most important things you can do when implementing change is to do it little by little. For example, changing your diet. Where people make the mistake is not in the new diet, it's at the point where they change too many things all at once. They will start to track all of their food, weigh out all the food, only eat select things, and start like that. These changes are too drastic for someone just starting out and they will eventually become tired of this new way of doing things and revert back to their old ways. It's best to make small changes that lead up to this level of fitness. This can be started by switching some unhealthy foods that you are currently eating to a healthier alternative. Then, plan out eating more frequently, but with smaller meals. Then, track some of the food you are eating and finally get to the point where I was talking about before. This process should be done slow and steady and not contain things that are too advanced at the time. This can be applied with many things in life!
