My other yoga practice // Today I said “fuck this moving shit” and went out to spend some quality time on our land with my saw. Even though I was exhausted before I started, running my saw made all the broken pieces fall back in to place and smoothed my rumpled feathers. #grateful
I couldn’t wait until Christmas to give Christi one of her presents 🎁! A HighSchool friend of mine is an artist “The Texas Chainsaw Carver”. The Cardinal holds a special place in the family.
Many myths and traditions surrounding the cardinal have to do with renewal, good health, happy relationships, monogamy, and protection. Looking at the life of a cardinal, it’s easy to see why it has so many good associations. For example, cardinals mate for life. Also, they are non-migratory birds so they remain in their immediate area all their lives, protecting their turf. And after the couple gives birth, both parents work together to assure the health, welfare, and security of their family unit.
In Loving Memory Of Larry W Cockrum.
Thank you @robs_creations for creating this beautiful piece!

This has been a busy two weeks. I’ve been on the road traveling, Carving, traveling and Carving.
I’ve done 4 XVII Carvings since Nov 6th. The first one I did at home then I hit the road for Ocean City Maryland. Did my first Live Carving there on November 9th after two full days of driving. Then I hit the road again on November 10th for Boston, stopped in the Bronx and had lunch with a Marine Brother of mine then finished the drive to Massachusetts.
Did a second Live Carving in West Roxbury just outside of Boston at a Cemetery on Nov 11th.
Had about a week off of carving then completed the 4th one today making that the 38th Carving I’ve done so far since starting in 2016.
It’s good to be on the road and doing the Carvings, meeting people and giving back.
Also it’s really good to spend some time with @amandaarno, my Beautiful GF.
The series of photos are some still shots from the Live Carving on Veterans Day November 11th.
