Climb with us tomorrow (8.18.18) as we partner with The North Face to help raise money for the Khumbu Climbing Center in Nepal for Climbing Global Climbing Day!
We’re offering FREE climbing across all of our locations from the time we open at 10AM until Midnight to anyone who checks into our gyms before 4PM.
10.8.18 - Seattle, WA. This pair of shoes! I don’t think I really realized how attached to these shoes I was until yesterday. Although maybe getting them resoled about 6 times and climbing with them for the past while with holes in the toes should have told me that my subconscious wasn’t really ready to part ways with them yet. Yesterday was the first time in about 3 or 4 years that I left them behind in my closet. These shoes have had a pretty astounding impact on my life. They helped me through my first trad leads and onto experiences I never thought I’d have. We’ve hung out in some of the most beautiful places on this planet, from the PNW to Patagonia and so many spots in between. Goodbyes are tough. Thanks homies. #tcpros#firstpair#climbingshoes#climbing#missyoualready#lasportiva
Trees stand sturdy while we stumble around them. Do we grow coconut trees for their coconuts, or do coconut trees grow us with their coconuts for their oxygen to breathe? 🤔
The answer is both. 🤗
Whether the tree is stronger than you or uproots before you die, either way, neither of you would exist without the other. 😐
Every relationship is like this, even the ones where we find discomfort or stress. Without the necessity to continously climb or grow, humans and trees would be pointless. We'd be hedonistic blobs of weakened flesh, and tress would be woody pancakes.
Everything grows, that's the point of life. But to grow means at some point there must be a collapse. Climb the tallest, mightiest tree and you can't climb to it's tallest point. It's tallest point is a leaf on a thin branch. Climb it and you'll crush it, beginning the collapse. 😉
In that case, your only goal should be: find a climb against something unclimable that at least gives you coconuts in return for your efforts. ☺
That's what defines a good life. 🙄
What do you think?
I tried something new today! @e_zigs_zag took me climbing today and it was awesome definitely something I can see myself getting into... once I can lift my arms again. 📷: @e_zigs_zag ----------------------------------------------------
Couldn't post this until the end of the comp season. Maybe one of the toughest climbs I've done. Took me four attempts to get it. Pleased with how much I smoothed it out.
Happy Birthday goes out to the living legend that is @alexhonnold! Check out his page (as if you don’t already) and peek at what he is doing this year for his birthday. 🎂 #alexhonnold#climbing#rockclimbing#climb 📷:@honngy
Another cool problem from the Emancipation Boulders: “The Cavity” V3. I ran a few laps on this thing and never managed to do it without dabbing the tree. But flying solo, I never felt comfortable to commit my body further left. This is a bit of a spooky landing. Sooo...it was what it was today. Maybe I’ll go back with a crew sometime. Either way, I had fun today.
I think it is universal that climbers get a little excited when they find an untouched block of stone; and if they find a several of those bunched up together in an area? Let’s just say it’s a climb fest for days on end!

Each batch of our V12 Muscle Rub starts with a Habanero Oil infusion 🔥 We start by adding the habanero powder to the base oil and lightly heating on and off for three days to make sure the oil is permeated with all the properties of the pepper. But why?! Habanero contains capsaicin which is known to temporary relieve pain. It does this by stimulating the release of substance P, a chemical that helps transmit pain signals from the sensory nerve fibers to the brain 🧠. Along with the Arnica Oil and Pure Menthol Crystals we are super proud of our formula and hope it has given some of you relief after those long sessions 😜
This oil will be for some V12s headed to our newest retailer @crgmanhattan 😄 They literally opened their doors to the public today. Make sure to go give them a follow and check out their amazing gym next time you are in NYC!
Our friends @cliffhangersnc will also be carrying this muscle healing goodness so be on the lookout if that’s your home gym!
