@bulletproof_blondie: "Working on my long gun with this badass new hoodie from Spotterup. Hoodies for sale. Choose your pain. Tomahawk grenade rifle or blaster The Vitruvian Man or simply L’Uomo Vitruviano is a drawing by Leonardo da Vinci that historians tell us he created around 1490. There are a lot of websites paying homage to this iconic image however we think ours is the coolest. “The Vitruvian Man (Italian: Le proporzioni del corpo umano secondo Vitruvio, which is translated to “The proportions of the human body according to Vitruvius”), or simply L’Uomo Vitruviano (Italian pronunciation: [ˈlwɔːmo vitruˈvjaːno])”, “The drawing, which is in pen and ink on paper, depicts a man in two superimposed positions with his arms and legs apart and inscribed in a circle and square. The drawing and text are sometimes called the Canon of Proportions or, less often, Proportions of Man.”,”The drawing is based on the correlations of ideal human proportions with geometry described by the ancient Roman architect Vitruvius in Book III of his treatise De architectura. Vitruvius described the human figure as being the principal source of proportion among the classical orders of architecture. Vitruvius determined that the ideal body should be eight heads high. Leonardo’s drawing is traditionally named in honor of the architect.”
Rather than retooling his iconography just for the sake of doing it, as some businesses do, we decided that ours would be rooted in meaning. Ours is therefore re-titled the VIRTUVIAN MAN as a take on a man of VIRTUE.
I am absolutely thrilled to announce my work has been featured in @thelilynews 2018 Gift Guide. We just received the news and what a wave of excitement in our house tonight 🖤🔥Check it out at thelily.news/2018giftguide
The Lily was the first paper published by women, for women! In a time when our voices had no volume, the Lily cranked it up high! This reincarnation of such a powerful publication is an absolute honor to be a part of.
While I may be small and often quiet, I fight daily to claim my place, to create a space where my daughter will not have to take up that battle. To be wholeheartedly myself, shoulder to shoulder with my sisters, supporting one another in a world where once again our voices are being muted. The look of pride on her face to see my creations among such a proud pantheon of women owned businesses, we got this babes 💪
Tagging some amazingly strong women as well who deserve some serious recognition for their work!!
