90% of my meals look exactly like this! Nothing fancy schmancy...just the whole food and my favorite meal - HUGE PROTEIN SALAD.
Base: I mix any kind of fresh veggies I have...never enough greens...here I have a lot of kale, cucumber, tomato, bell peppers.
Protein: tempeh cooked with avocado oil and tamari sauce

The post-training meal.
I'm always so hungry after a work-out that I do the biggest plates ever.
It doesn't seem that big in the picture but it was.
After a weight training is very important to deliver protein and carbs to your body.
Protein will provide aminoacids for your muscles and carbs will refill the glucose used in the training.
Carbs (specially simple ones) AFTER training is a STRATEGY for muscle recovery and growing because it levels up insulin.
Insulin will take blood sugar and aminoacids to the muscles. That's why insulin is an extremally anabolic hormone.
Keep in mind that this is a good meal routine for those who work out.
It's a different story for people in need to lose body fat or dealing with other health issues.
So after a protein+oats shake, I had: scrambled eggs with sauteed mushrooms, tuna salad, toasts and some tomatoes aside.

It can be as simple as: today, I’m going to eat on the healthier side 🥑🍗🍏🍠🥗 or I’m going to go for a walk today after work🚶🏻♀️
Set the goal, then claim it for yourself.
These are the small victories in life. The building blocks to future goals & achievements.
Start small, be as consistent as possible, and remember that Rome wasn’t built in a day.
My fat-loss journey began with a desire to just walk out the door and go for a long walk with my kids without losing my breath after 5 minutes. ..
I remember those days well and how I felt at every stage. The feelings of worthlessness,despair, hopelessness, defeat.
Today...I feed on those memories to further motivate me and keep me on my journey for a lifetime.

This is extremely personal to me because I’ve been there and done that.
I was that fat girl in high school (before I dropped out and got a GED), the one that was teased mercilessly.
All odds were against me, and yet...here I am! Thank you God🙏🏽
