“The most amazing thing for us has been getting to develop a relationship with Eliana‘s birth family. We’ve been able to meet her biological grandmother, siblings, aunt, cousins as well as maintain relationship with her birth mom. It’s been a beautiful way to grow our family and get to celebrate different cultures and rejoice together as a family.” // photo and caption by @thejenkstribe #RelationshipsMatter#NationalAdoptionMonth
At a place called The Novelist, I expected to find a plethora of punny titles on the menu. Say an apertif of Grape 🍇 Gatsby, Catcher in the Rye Bread 🍞 with Scarlet Butter, or maybe an order of Lord of the Onion Rings to start. For main courses, possibly some Don Quiche-xote 🧀 or Duck Finn 🦆 with a side of Call of the Wild Mushroom 🍄 dressed in 🍋Lime & Punishment. For dessert, I imagined some Dr Jekyll & Mr Pie 🥧 all washed down with 100 Beers 🍻 of Solitude 📚 That was not the case. Although, the menu was arranged like parts of a plot diagram: Introduction (starters), Rising Action (salads), Climax (entrees), Falling Action (dessert), and Resolution (happy hour menu). Nice detail surely, but I wish they would've incorporated some book titles or maybe showcase a substantial book collection. They would be the perfect place to house one of those public free little libraries. So much more could be done, I see a lot of potential!!!
