SHAME (Steve McQueen, 2011)
Successful New Yorker Brandon (Michael Fassbender) seems to live an ordinary life, but he hides a terrible secret behind his mask of normalcy: Brandon is a sex addict.
Shame is the second McQueen and Fassbender collaboration following Hunger. It tells the story of a sex addict and his destructive ways. Fassbender portrays this character so beautifully and Carey Mulligan never disappoints so if you haven’t already, definitely give it a try.

Latest project: “Mon Amour” out this December! Man this was a hard film all around but we pulled it off with only two weeks of pre-production. Glad to finally have worked closely with @irma.gram and a slew of new filmmakers at ASU! But honestly wouldn’t have been able to pull it off without my parents (BACVAC) who once again support my dreams and believe in my vision!!
From award-winning documentary filmmaker E. Chai Vasarhelyi (“MERU”) and world-renowned photographer and mountaineer Jimmy Chin comes a stunning, intimate and unflinching portrait of the free soloist climber Alex Honnold, as he prepares to achieve his lifelong dream: climbing the face of the world’s most famous rock ... the 3,000ft El Capitan in Yosemite National Park ... without a rope.
Celebrated as one of the greatest athletic feats of any kind, Honnold’s climb set the ultimate standard: perfection or death.

The actual poster has credits at the bottom but wouldn't quite all fit with insta's dimension restrictions. Thanks to @graybarkerhandcraft for the invaluable input with this poster!

📽Sorry To Bother You (2018) is a satire comedy with sci/fi elements Written and directed by Rapper turned director Boots Riley. Starring : Lakeith Stanfield, Tessa Thompson, Jermaine Fowler, Omari Hardwick, Terry Crews, Patton Oswalt, David Cross, Danny Glover, Steven Yeun, and Armie Hammer. 🎞 Story is about a guy called Cassius Green living in an alternate reality version of San Francisco working as telemarketer for an evil company that has been criticized for Slavery kind of work, as he manages to go up the corporate ladder by betraying his own community he does encounter more bizzare things. 🗣If i have to describe this movie in 3 words it’s : Bizzare, Creative and funny. Best quality of this movie is Originality in terms of creating a universe so similar to ours that yet feels so bizzare. The satire tone of the movie that does deliver funny scenes has way more themes to discuss against modern day capitalism, Media’s refusal to take things seriously and anti-corporate pro-activist message.
I think it will find a nice strong cult. As the movies goes deeper into the story it feels more and more like an acid trip and gets more surreal. The colorful tone and the scenery does help with that but it might weird out some of the audience.
Nevertheless it might be hard to connect and relate to but it’s very well made and original for those who are asking for it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ of five.
