You know that feeling when you’re absolutely exhausted from a long day? And then that feeling right after when you sit down on the sofa with a family size slab of toblerone(just me?). THAT’s the feeling you give me. That warm. THAT fuzzy. You’re better than nougat and chocolate! Thank you for being here and supporting my passion 💕
Jewellery, the Rastafarian, and the Picture of Haile Selassie. It was dark in the shop and a good break from the too bright summer sun. I stared at a picture under the counter of Haile Selassie. Looking up I saw the owner and we connected and were fast friends in a half second. I bought some medals and oddly enough it was partly because the loop that the chain goes through was better made than most because it was part of the medal. We talked about a lot of things and he told me to bring culture to where I lived. I was honoured but said no, that I was alone, and wandered forests under trees. He understood and said immediately, That’s where you get your energy! And I nodded. A simple but true thing. I glanced around, looked at the picture again, said goodbye to the owner. I had to leave out into the bright summer sun that bothered my eyes but I would be out from cities and find the forest and it’s shaded paths again eventually. I looked back once and he had come out to see the sun also and gave me a friendly wave as I went. I waved back and continued, disappearing into the crowds and streets, the visual audio and emotional noise that is the busy world.
Journey through the Morton Arboretum you will find six colossal trolls crafted from reclaimed wood by Danish artist Thomas Dambo. Marvel at these 15- to 30-foot-tall (and one 60-foot long) sculptures that have been created to serve as protectors of our environment. The exhibit is there til the end of 2018. #trolls
