Sunday was just peachy with this smoothie bowl 👌🏼 Had to share this one with my little guy of course because as soon as he sees the bowl, he knows there’s some serious yumminess happening in there 🙈 This one had banana, mango and fresh peaches, which was amazing! Was having phat craves for chocolate this morning (although when am I not hehe) so decided to make the most chocolatey smoothie I could 🍫🍫 This was a classic banana, cacao powder, coco sugar, almond milk number topped with the goods! My classic @loving_earth choc buckinis, coconut chips, and a sneaky piece of @guylianchocolates dark sugar free chocolate! 😎 Safe to say it satisfied the cravings ✔️

Lynn Canyon! My last hike of the year! I just had to go hiking today cuz it is prolly the last dry and sunny weekend before the rainy and snowy season takes over Vancouver. So glad I wore my @gap thermal fleece leggings and hoodie cuz it was colddd. By the end of the hike, my hands were so cold it felt numb from constantly holding & snapping the camera. My face was so cold & stiff I couldn't speak properly (see stories in a bit), but it was so fun! I love staying active outdoors, so I will miss this. Until next year! @asma1470

Toothpaste is packed in a plastic tube and then packed in a paper box then wrapped in plastic packaging and carried in a plastic bag. On average, a 175g toothpaste will last about 3 months (should be waaaay more considering you'd only need just a drop but such says the internet). Waffled up this weekend!🎉 @izmerai.juliet was over & needed some breakfast So inspired by the talented @elavegan I decided to stuff some of our homemade waffles base with our homemade date caramel and some choc. Chips! We paired it with some fruit, nut butters, maple syrup and a mocha Shake! Also instead of using maple syrup inside the batter this time I replaced it with date paste & some monkfruit! And I forgot to make the caramel discs beforehand🙊 opps (just in case you were wondering!)(though they still came out pretty good!So don’t hesitate to try it out for yourself)
P.S. do you like my attempt at cutting that apple into a star😜⭐️ And those circle magijer a are our homemade dried apples!
Date Caramel StuFfeD WaFfleS:
1 cup oats ground into flour (oat flour)
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 tbsp flax seed meal or chia seed meal
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
7.4 oz plant-based milk
2.8 oz of apple sauce
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp lime juice .
1 cup dates/raisins
1/2 cup brown rice syrup/liquid sweetener
1/4 cup coconut can milk
1/4 cup almond milk
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt (METHOD:
In a high speed blender (@vitamix) blend until smooth! )
On a lined baking tray, pour 1/4 cup of caramel and spread into a circle/disc shape with the back of a spoon. Repeat until all caramel is used and repeat. FREEZE until batter is ready!
mix all dry ingredients in a bowl
then mix wet ingredients in a separate bowl
stir in wet with the dry ingredients heat waffle griddle
pour 1 heaping tbsp of batter in waffle griddle, spread it and place a caramel Disc or stuff w/ about 5 mega choc. Chunks (@enjoylife). Repeat previous step but alternate with caramel. add more batter to cover caramel. Disc or Choc. Chunks close waffle griddle to cook until golden brown repeat & enjoy! ———————————————————

Sunday arvo baking 👌 Had some verrry ripe bananas that needed using up, so whipped up this banana and blueberry bread (in a cake tin cause that’s all I had!) 🍞🍌 Some seeds and coconut on top for extra crunch and nutrients. Ready for placement snacks for the week ahead ✅

TBT 4 year difference 💁🏽♀️.
On the left was me 4 years ago! Highly raw, consumed large amounts of vegan protein and worked out literally hours daily. I repeat.... DAILY. I ran miles and lifted weights every .... single .... day to look this “skinny”. I was happy because I was working hard on sculpting a body I could be proud of and even enter competitions! 💪🏽😄 But an unfortunate accident happened which changed my life.
On the right I’m with my bestest friend, LIVING LIFE. Eating what ever and when ever I want. (always vegan of course) In this recent pic I haven’t even so much as LOOKED at a gym!! Chronic back pain from severe disk herniations and ruptures including a permanently damaged nerve prevented me from exercising outside of a therapy office these last few years.
Luckily, after a much needed L-Spine laminectomy and a lengthy recovery, a lot of pain has been relived ☺️ However as per surgeon orders👨🏾⚕️ I will be forced to either wear a back brace FOREVER, or strengthen my core 😏 And this back brace ugly AF so you already know I’m going with the latter 😎.
