Huge shouts out to Polly today >> One of her lovely client insisted on sending us a testimonial, which is just fab. Amaaaaazing job, Polly. And boy, how cool are the photos!? "I read about Hey Saturday! and was intrigued by what made the photographs so special. The variety and richness of the settings and colours, the unique settings, the genuine and diverse expressions made me decide to book a session. I’m quite tired of the conventional airbrushed photographs and cliched settings and poses typical of many corporate and casual shoots.
I live in Dubai, but was planning a very brief work trip to London; Saskia was extremely responsive and sorted everything for me via email, working around the shoot to fit my schedule. I was apprehensive, but hoping for a contemporary, refreshingly unconventional yet useable output - photographs that I could leverage in my personal as well as professional profile use!
On the day, I met with Polly - one of Saskia’s top photographers - for an hour of unbelievable fun: I was whisked around Covent Garden, photographed against some of the loveliest backdrops possible, managed to squeeze in 2 changes of outfit, and was laughing my head off as Polly asked me to imagine my celebrity crush Hugh Jackman was present and trying to impress me….:D
The results were amazing. I am able to use them for my very corporate job, for Facebook, as a Twitter influencer and also for keynote speech profiles. Completely thrilled and would strongly recommend Hey Saturday! to anyone looking for a breath of fresh air in the context of a photography session." Warm regards
I don't think I would ever give up my camera. I get to capture things I find interesting and see a side of people that's rarely ever seen.
While letting my computer export a wedding (and for that it needs some time of its own) I am preparing the stage for tomorrow’s portrait clients. It will be a mother-daughter session and I am really looking forward to it.
Usually I prepare the light-situation the day before the session if that’s possible ...
only to change something 5 minutes before we start the session. 🙈
Info: I am triggering my #fujixpro2 with an app on my phone. That’s fantastic, so I don’t need to get to the camera for each shot. ;) #studiolife
Portraiture is my favourite craft you can see your subject live and also you can make somebody confident about them selfs it’s really a kind a work to do and I just love the moment when my subject smiles and posse I really like to take my images as natural as possible I don’t like flattering posses just as natural is good 45 degree is always so great for both him and her...also I look for soul and mood humans look good with nature provided some golden hour and moody hour....
