MEMPHIS, Tennessee —
Two men in Tennessee accused of sexually assaulting a 9-month-old girl and recording the sexual acts on a phone were indicted by a jury Tuesday.
Authorities said 19-year-old Isiah Hayes was sexually aroused and performing sex acts on the child while 22-year-old Daireus Ice filmed a series of videos, WREG-TV reported. Then 17, Hayes can allegedly been seen seen exposing and touching himself with the child, who was nude from the waist down, according to the Shelby County District Attorney's office, which charged the pair rape and sexual exploitation. Isiah Hayes and Daireus Ice are accused of making one of the videos in October 2016, at the mother's Memphis home.
The victim’s mother later discovered the videos and identified her infant daughter in them, WMC-TV reported. She identified Hayes in the video after searching on Facebook and gave the information to police, WHBQ-TV reported. Hayes admitted to the crime after he was arrested earlier this year in February, police said. Both men were being held in the Shelby County jail. Hayes’ older brother, who asked not to be named, apologised on his his sibling's behalf and said the family were heartbroken by the arrests. “Us as a family, we apologise,” he told local TV station WREG. “I know that the child may not remember but it’s something a mother is going to have to hold on to forever. Like, knowing that your child was exposed to something like that. You trusted your child with someone, and you have to deal with seeing this on your own.” #horrific#diabolical#predator
