“The art of Yin” ❣️
Slowly I’m turning my intentions and opening my heart towards this beautiful practice.
Not only I’m teaching it tomorrow @omyogashow at 2.30pm at the @mindbodyuk stage, but I have many workshops coming up.
They are super special as I have a great talented musician with me that creates the most wonderful music to make the experience a mega wacky~relaxing one. ~~~~~~~~~~

Ok, guys, let's just be honest: here's me sitting on my couch in my comfy clothes doing NOTHING. I've not been very present online lately because, well, I guess I'm kinda stuck, lost my inspiration, out of my flow... Since moving house a lot has shifted. Literally my life has moved from one place to the next. But figuratively this has brought up a lot of things for me to process emotionally. To be even more open, I'm a master of avoiding my emotions by doing so many things that I literally don't have time to think about it. Kinda like the ostrich's stick-your- head in the sand attitude, if you can't see it, it's not there. But we all know that tiger is gonna bite that ostrich's butt at one point.
Well, I guess I kinda reached that point and I'm trying to change my attitude and am teaching myself how to go through these things in a more healthy way instead of pushing them aside. It's nothing major, but it's also not easy. Years of patterns, make it difficult for me to tap into what's going on. Let alone open up to it. This is already one big step and part of my healing process. I know and trust 100% that it is all exactly as it should be right now and it is all just part of the process. However, this simply requires some reflective quiet time, and I've been spending some time alone, reading, walking, meditating or just watching TV because that's what I need right now.
I'm trying to allow myself to be and just do whatever I need right now. Tonight it's just quiet time on the couch with some inspirational videos and books, so hopefully I'll be inspired and find my way back to my flow again soon and be more present for you. •
Last week I drank beer, ate pizza, Held space for family, and painted my ass off. It was glorious, but by Friday I was frazzled as fuck. I couldn’t focus or even count. I was exhausted and in bed by 7:40.
This week I’m intentionally taking time to recenter myself. Yoga everyday, healthy food, juice, organizing and planning. Also glorious, but in a less frenetic going to stay up till 9 on Friday way.
Look, talent comes everywhere, but having something to say and a way to say it so that people listen to it, that’s a whole other bag. And unless you get out and try to do it, you’ll never know. That’s just the truth. And there’s one reason we’re supposed to be here is to say something so people want to hear.
So you got to grab it, and you don’t apologize, and you don’t worry about why they’re listening, or how long they’re going to be listening for, you just tell them what you want to say. ———————————————————————————
The struggle was real with this pose for so long! All I could feel was my jammed lower back and I hated doing it for that reason... until I've learned precious little tip - firmly ground yourself through tops of the feet and pubic bone... Engage legs and any weird sensation in lower back will be a thing of the past! And if you are struggling with sphinx pose like I did, you'll grow to love this beautiful heart opener and stress reliever!

Did you know that @yogadesignlab towel designs are printed with water based inks and are made out of biodegradable natural tree rubber. Not only this towel is eco friendly, but it’s also super absorbent and non-slip. I also really like the size, it’s big enough to cover any mat that I have which means my mats are going to last longer!

The gesture Namaste represents the belief that there is a Divine spark within each of us that is located in the heart chakra. The gesture is an acknowledgment of the soul in one by the soul in another.
Definition of Namaste
Nama means bow, as means I, and te means you. Therefore, namaste literally means "bow me you" or "I bow to you." .
To perform Namaste, we place the hands together at the heart chakra, close the eyes, and bow the head. It can also be done by placing the hands together in front of the third eye, bowing the head, and then bringing the hands down to the heart. This is an especially deep form of respect. Although in the West the word "namaste" is usually spoken in conjunction with the gesture, in India, it is understood that the gesture itself signifies Namaste, and therefore, it is unnecessary to say the word while bowing.
We bring the hands together at the heart chakra to increase the flow of Divine love. Bowing the head and closing the eyes helps the mind surrender to the Divine in the heart. One can do Namaste to oneself as a meditation technique to go deeper inside the heart chakra; when done with someone else, it is also a beautiful, albeit quick, meditation.
For a teacher and student, Namaste allows two individuals to come together energetically to a place of connection and timelessness, free from the bonds of ego-connection. If it is done with deep feeling in the heart and with the mind surrendered, a deep union of spirits can blossom.
Namaste into your practice
Ideally, Namaste should be done both at the beginning and at the end of class. Usually, it is done at the end of class because the mind is less active and the energy in the room is more peaceful. The teacher initiates Namaste as a symbol of gratitude and respect toward her students and her own teachers and in return invites the students to connect with their lineage, thereby allowing the truth to flow—the truth that we are all one when we live from the heart.
@fitbyfifty.us “So recently I've made a few changes in my diet, supplements and routine and I really think I'm seeing the difference already. 😀 This bag of Plant-Based Protein from @PlantWarriorco is one of them. 🌱
Since getting 5 meals in per day can be a little difficult, I finally decided to include a shake as one of those meals, and this 100% Plant-Based chocolate flavored protein is my choice. Not only is it very tasty, but it's healthier than Whey and won't bloat my stomach or cause acne. Plus it’s Gluten-Free and Cruelty-Free, made from Brown Rice Protein, Pea Protein, Hemp Protein & Cacao. AND for every bag sold a tree is planted! 🌳
I mix it with Almond milk and have found myself anxious for that daily shake now , as it also satisfies small sugar cravings if I ever get them! 😀”

„This life is for loving, sharing, learning, smiling, caring, forgiving, laughing, hugging, helping, dancing, wondering, healing, and even more loving. I choose to live life this way. I want to live my life in such a way that when I get out of bed in the morning, the devil says, 'aw shit, he's up!“ - Steve Maraboli
Awww, I‘m working on so many beautiful, great, new projects at the moment! Can’t wait to share them with you! 💫 //Anzeige
PRACTICE, PATIENCE, PERSISTENCE
Wayne Campbell-2017 USA National Yoga Champion, will be representing Team USA at the 2018 International Yoga Championship, Beijing, China, December 1-2, 2018.
#TodayIAffirm : I listen to my body and prioritize my physical and emotional healing. I release my attachment to my “advanced” yoga practice and go back to the basics. It does not matter whether I can contort my body in crazy ways - what matters is how I live my yoga off my mat.
This is about all I can do in my practice right now. I tweaked my back/rib cage pretty severely last week, and all twists, folds, and backbends cause extreme discomfort. Last night, the pain became unbearable after practicing yoga for 5 minutes (long enough to snap this photo...) and I had to cancel all the classes I had agreed to teach. Learning to step back in my practice is hard - but let’s keep reminding ourselves that no photo op or new pose is worth compromising our safety and well-being. As @caleyalyssa said at the #aloinpalmsprings retreat — don’t we want to be able to practice for our entire lives rather than just for the next two years?
Loving this cozy set from the @aloyoga holiday line ✨
Have you ever done wine yoga? There are entire classes devoted to it! But wine yoga is so easy that you can get your Namaste rosé on by yourself (like me with this delish @BlackBoxWines rosé) or with a group of friends, no sweat. Ok maybe a little sweat depending on how hard your poses are. 😅
I love yoga because it's so restorative and brings more balance into my day. I set my own level of challenge and regardless of how far I push myself, I always feel renewed afterwards. So whoever came up with adding wine into the mix is kind of a genius! 🏅 With a lower alcohol content it'll relax your body slowly, especially since you're sipping through the poses rather than drinking all at once. So there's no need to worry about wobbling through the workout! Unless you're me and that happens already naturally.... 😂
@BlackBoxWines recently sent me this yoga mat and bag from their new loyalty program - #BlackBoxRewards . It allows members to rack up points by purchasing wines (like the yummy rosé I used for my yoga workout) or engaging with their social media channels and use them to get amazing rewards from brands like uber, Sephora, Hulu and more. What I love is you can get extra points doing very simple social tasks like inviting friends, connecting on FB, visiting the website weekly, or answering monthly questions. Super easy. ✔️ Happy posing! 🧘♀️ #BlackBoxRewards#BlackBoxWines#ad#msgfor21#NamasteRose#WillYogaForWine#ItsEasierThanYouThink
When you want something you have never had, you have to do something you have never done💚
When was the last time you tried something for the first time?🤗
More shoulder drills for day 6 of #RoadToPincha challenge💪🏼
During a journaling session last night I had a thought that yoga, as I see it, is the practice of balance. Balance between strength and flexibility, between chaos and peace, between relaxation and intensity. During some of the most difficult postures, there is still space for breath and during relaxing postures there is still room to exercise strength. I’ve noticed specifically with #pincha that for proper alignment I need to be both strong and flexible equally...like a tug of war with both sides pulling equally..🤔
Just some food for thought on this beautiful Thursday. Hmm “Deep Thoughts Thursdays” as a theme on this account in the future? Let me know if you would like to read my rants once a week in the comments below😆👇🏼
