I'm so saddened by the continued escalation of gun violence in the USA. It's clear that there needs to be cultural and regulatory changes -- and fast. It's not OK to have a culture that glorifies violence and guns. When the cigarette companies wanted people to buy cigarettes, they paid Hollywood stars to smoke them on screen. It worked, and it's working for guns, too. Being in Europe (aside from this strange street art) really makes the contrast in culture clear. America needs to learn from more peaceful nations.
I love this photo taken in the Hamptons a few years ago... Spring can't come soon enough!
#HilaryRowland : My mom took this when I was about nine years old, at our summer cottage. I remember grabbing this sailor hat from the boathouse. It was so big on me! Spending summers on the island in Muskoka were some of my favorite childhood memories. What are yours? What makes you nostalgic?
#HilaryRowland : Looking out over the vista in #Greece makes me think about sustainability and how we can help our little planet. I eat sustainably (#vegan ) and I try to buy previously-loved as often as possible (I get furniture, clothing, shoes, etc. on eBay and Craigslist). What are you doing to live a more sustainability-focused lifestyle?
#HilaryRowland : I always try to stay out of the sun, or cover up. Are you a sun worshipper, or do you cover up? Have you read our shocking article about the different types of sun rays, why your sunscreen is most likely the toxic kind, and the easiest and best ways to protect yourself?
